In 1986, a priest paints the portrait of a young girl in Northern Ireland. Shortly thereafter, she disappears without a trace — and so does her image in the painting. Decades later, an American artist investigates this “evil miracle” as part of her own artistic pursuits, finding herself drawn into a surreal mystery on the priest’s remote estate. Writer-director Michael Tully’s nightmarish horror film borrows from Gothic tradition as it burrows under the skin.
